What We Do:
Back in 1996 my sister (nine years younger than I) wanted me to show her how to crochet the tops of towels like our grandma showed me. Well I taught her and we began to crochet tops to towels, then cross stitch, and embroidery. We decided to try out our work of art at craft shows, we had a great time meeting people and we earned enough that we could visit each other at different craft shows. She lives in Arkansas, and I moved to Indiana three years ago, from Michigan where our parents live now. Eventually our children joined in with ornaments, sun catchers, and jewelry, and then our mom with embroidery (hand made) pillow cases, Dad made bird houses, and my sisters husband made crosses, and shadow boxes. For me? I made frog and moose puppets on top of towels, Ducks, Cows, Pigs, Dogs and Cat heads on top of towels. Apples, oranges and the list goes on, on top of towels. (Filled them with scent or that special gift). I made doggie biscuits and canned jelly, jam, and apple butter.We still craft, The Family Act was born, and now The Family Act Two which has expanding our creativity and adding another member, or store now has over 500 books to choose from, Cross Stitch Kits, cloths, embroidered towel sets and aprons, with antiques and new merchandise added weekly. I fell on hard times and moved here to Arkansas, I'm a Social Worker BSW, LSW and have been looking for full time work. I've expanded a new service with my abilities as a Social Worker for 25+ years. I am now offering my services transcribing, data entry, research, MDS assistance, Consulting help, Call maybe I can be of service to you! The expansion of the Family Act hopefully is to the delight of Yours!
